Julia's 6 month Check-up
I now have proof that Miss Juls is only Cheek Heavy.lol
She weighed in at 17.15 (88% - only a little more than a pound from her 4 month). Head circumfrence is 44.6 (95%). And here is the whopper...Her height is 29 3/8 (100% - 3 in. more than her 4 month)
Her two top teeth are coming in which I could already tell. She showed off for the doctor by pulling herself into a standing position by pulling on my shirt. Juls got her 3 regularly scheduled shots and then 1 flu shot. We go back in 30 days for the second part of it. (Mommy got a flu shot as well, while we were there. OW!) Juls cried during the shot, but as usual she stopped as soon as I picked her up. She bled a lot again. That part bothers me more than the actual shots.
We talked about food and she said we are doing fine. I was worried I was feeding her too much, but obviously by her weight gain, that is not an issue. We discussed my decrease in milk and went over some options to try before she gives me a prescription. So let's hope the "tea" works. My original goal to BF was 6 months. Now that I made it and saw how easy it was, I am shooting for a year now. Yeah for me!
She won't be 6 months till Friday, but we had to reschedule her appt. due to a very important appt on Friday (will post details at a later date). All in all she is doing just perfectly (I didn't need a doctor to tell me that though.)
