PT For Back Today

Well I had my first Physical Therapy for my back today. It's mostly good news with just a little bad.

I do not have a bulging disk. Shew. The pain is pregnancy related which is good because that means it will go away once Sevina is born and is not a permanent thing.

We all know that when you get pregnant your body produces more hormones. The ones that start with an R (can't remember the name right now). Anyway, in your 2nd trimester you really produce alot and for some it can cause loose joints. Well apparently my joints have come loose where my pelvic bone and my spine come together in my back on both the left and right side. So that has been causing the back pain. Well your pelvic bone also comes together in the front (mine seperated here when I was pregnant with Juls) and it has started to seperate with this one as well. So basically my pelvic bone is falling apart, lol (not literally, but close).

So I have to go in for heat treatments and u/s waves 3 times a week. I have to do some excercises to help relieve some of the pain. I can't carry Julia (yeah right) and I have to try not to carry a diaper bag so much. I have to let others lift her when possible, and I have to wear a brace to keep Sevina from sitting on my pelvic. I had to wear one with Juls, so this is not to surprising but is going to be miserable in this Dallas heat. Doc had said when I was pregnant with Juls I had a 50/50 chance of it happening again, guess my luck ran out.

I also asked what were the chances of having it with a third, and he said that it will happen if I get pregnant again. If it didn't, I would be a medical miracle. I haven't told DH this because he would go out and get a vasectomy asap. He wouldn't even consider allowing me to carry another child. For me, it is very painful and I really really wish I didn't have it, but it is all worth it in the end. At least that is what I keep telling myself.

So I am happy to finally know what is going on, but I am very frustrated with my body for doing this. It is not an unusual thing. But it happening like this is not common. If that makes sense.
