32 Week Check-up
I had my 32 week appt. today. This is the first time I saw my doc since I had that last u/s. She was very happy to see the report and see that Sevina is absolutly perfect. However, she mentioned the "c" word. Due to Sevina's size she wants me to know a c-section may be a possability. I had asked her about Sevina's size last time I saw her and she did not seem concerned. But I guess the u/s made her realize she may be bigger then we thought. So she wants to me to store this new info away and we will discuss it more as my due date aproaches. Possibly another u/s.
Her fear is that we would get the head out, but not the shoulders. I won't go into everything, but she told me all the worst case scenarios (which obviously has scared the crap out of me). But, those are the worst cases. She does not like to induce, which neither do I. I want Sevina to come when she is ready, but I don't want a c-section either. She said she would do a c-section before inducing. She would hate to induce her and have her have lung problems or something when we could just wait and do a c-section. But there is a chance that her head is the big part and if that is the case, then I might be able to try delivery. If it is a big head and I can get it out, then the rest should be no problem. Also, Julia was easy. She came flying out. So that is another thing in my favor. She was 8.1 lbs. I need to look up her head circum.
Anyway, I could go on and on about what we discussed. I did discuss it with my resident "nurse"/best friend and she has calmed me a bit and explained things in terms I can understand. I guess we just wait and see for now.
We also discussed my pelvic pain as it has almost become unbearable. She wants me to go to pain management, but I said I wasn't ready for that. She was thinking injectables. So I am going to try a round of anti-inflamatories this weekend and then we talk about pain management when I see her again in two weeks.
But otherwise, everything is going well. Normal. She is going to do the strep B on me again. She did with Juls, but said they will go ahead and do it again. Oh fun. I will do it at 35 weeksish.
