37 Week Appt.
I had my 37 week appt today. Sevina is diagonal, but head down instead of feet being closest to my birth canal. I told the doctor about her being a flipper and she believes it. Say she is not worried though. She has a good feeling that Sevina will be head down when it counts....when I go into labor. I told her I thought I wasn't suppose to go into labor if she was breech. She said that was a best case scenerio, but I can go into labor at any time and who knows what position she will be in. So, next week, if Sevina is breech, we will set a c-section date and can always cancel it if she goes head down. But if she is head down then we proceed as normal. I am getting anxious and nervous. I finally packed my bag this weekend. Nursery is done. Port-a-crib is up in our room. I think I am ready.
She did answer all my questions about c-section. So now I feel more comfortable if that is what ends up happening.
Oh, and as far as size goes. She says she doesn't think Sevina is going to be as big as the u/s says. I asked if she was going to do another u/s to check on her size and she said no. That the closer to your due date the less accurate they are. But by feeling her and looking at me, she doesn't think she is going to be huge. SHEW!
So as long as Vina stays with her head closest to my pelvic, a vaginal birth it should be.
I did find out one disturbing thing. I love love love my doctor. However, I learend something new about her today. She does not believe in VBAC. I know VBAC should be the furthest thing from my mind right now considering I haven't even had this baby yet, but it is always good to be prepared. She did say I would be a good candidate for it, but she doesn't do them. Hmmmm. Something to store away in the back of my memory.
