Sevi's Ears Re-visited
As most of you know, we have been going round and round with doc's about her ears since she failed her hearing test when she was born.
Well for the past two months she has been rubbing her ears a lot. At her 6 month check-up the doc said she was slightly behind on speach. The past two days she has really been rubbing her ears. Cranky and her sleep has been bad.
So off to the doctors we went. She does not have an ear infection. However, she has severe allergies. So she is on Claranex to see if that helps. He said it could be why she is rubbing her ears (not really her ears, but right under them where the jaw meets the ear area). Anyway, so now we wait and see. However, this doctor (not our regular Ped) was concerned with her speech, her failing multiple hearing tests and he found a note in her folder from the one doctor she Passed a hearing test with saying she still needed follow-up testing at a hearing center. WHAT!?!?!?!?! That was 6 months ago.
So, now I am even more worried. But that's what we Mother's do, right?
Sevi has a follow-up appt. to her hearing test with the Calliers Speach and Hearing Center on March 3rd. They are going to do a WITH since she is 6 months old. I asked what that was and all she said was it mean that she needed to be seen by 2 audiologists, not just one. So they had to schedule it when two were avaiable.
So please think happy hearing thoughts for her on the 3rd. I know she can hear. I am not worried she is deaf. I just want some answers. Final, definite answers. No more guessing. So hopefully we will get this here.
