Sevi's One Year Check-up
Sevi had her one year check-up today. Good and bad.
Weight = 21.11 lbs. - 75%
Height = 30.5 - 90%
She got four shots and had her blood drawn. She did better then she has in the past, but she still cried with the shots when they gave them. A little nursing made it all better. The blood work was a peice of cake.
Her blood work came back with low iron and I have to say I am not surprised. Just frustrated they did not test it sooner when I asked considering mine and Julia's history. She is anemic and needs to start iron supplements. Go figure. Ugh! So any ideas to get more iron in her diet other then the Polyvisol?
She also has to go in for a speech eval. Again, I am not surprised, but I am not thrilled either. She was suppose to go back for another hearing test 6 months after her last ones because she failed one but passed all the others. Now with her not having any words anymore (she had a few but does not use them anymore) she wants to make sure we have her hearing checked again and her speech checked. I had hoped this was all behind us. Ugh. So now the concern is that she may not be able to hear clearly or certain tones. We know for a fact she can hear, but now the question is, WHAT can she hear.
I personally think she just has a very talkative (VERY talkative) older sister and just can't get a word in edge wise. LOL I honestly am not worried, but I understand the concern.
