Keira Quinn has arrived

Our third and finale child was born today on May 22nd, 2007. A beautiful little girl named Keira Quinn.

She measured in at 20.6 in. And weighed in at 10.1 pounds.

She was delivered via VBAC (vaginal birth after c-section). Something I am very proud of after being told I wouldn't be able to do it if I had another big baby.

She is absolutely perfect.

Here is a slide show of pictures of her delivery. There is no nudity but a little "blood" on a few of the pictures of the baby right after she was born. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do. I cry every time I watch this. Such an amazing memory to have. I am very very thankful to the woman who did this for us. This is something I will cherish forever and hopefully so will Keira. My water broke at 10:42 PM Monday night. I was in labor for 17 hours. At 15 hours I was told I had two hours to try one more thing to get her out or they were taking me back to surgery. When you watch this slide show you will see my Midwife come in and check me after those two hours. She is asking me if I am ready to push. We did it. I was going to get to push. So the next two photos are of me crying because I am so happy I will get to push.

And my favorite photos are of my husband in all of this. I was so focused on me and the baby I didn't get to see much of him. I love seeing him in these photos. Whether it be rubbing my back, holding my hand, whispering in my ear that I can do this, or holding our new baby girl. You can see the love and what an amazing man he is.

So click the link and then hit run. It is worth a few minutes to watch. But then again, I am a little biased.

I do ask that you be careful who you share this with. This is very close to my heart and there are people out there who would mock it. You all are my friends and family and I am trusting you with this. Thanks!
