Make My Heart Melt

I love bed time. Just the whole reading a book and cuddles before a kiss goodnight is enough to melt any heart.

But then there is the check-in. Every night, before DH and I (or just I) go to bed, one of us, sometimes both, go upstairs and sneak into their rooms to check on them, turn off lights, cover them up, whatever needs to be done and then give them a finale goodnight kiss.

Every time I go into Sevi's room she sits straight up in bed and looks at me. I go over, lay her back down, kiss her and tell her I love her and watch as her eyes slowly close. So precious.

And then their is Juls. When I go in there, I turn off her two lights she has bedside her bed. Pink night light type things. Then I bend down and kiss her goodnight and say "I love you". And here is the best part. After I say that, she shakes her head yes and rolls over and settles in. That head shake is to die for. My heart just melts. It's the "I am so out of it and too tired to say I love you, but I will shake my head to let you know I do" head shake. It is the best. I just love it. You know she really loves me to be able to give me that head shake even in her sleep. I hope she never stops shaking her head at me to let me know she loves me.
