More on Keira's Breathing problems

Keira is still having breathing and congestion issues. She has her 4th appt. with the Ped tomorrow.

Basically she is very congested in her chest. You can feel it when you put your hand on her back and you can hear it when she breaths. She also has an icky cough off and on. Not Croup icky, congested icky. No runny nose. No fever that we have caught. She is fussy and cranky.

The ped put her on liquid Abutirol (sp?). We used it for 5 days but it made her stop eating and kept her awake at all hours and she was SO cranky. So we stopped it because it didn't show any signs of working.

Then they put her steroids for 5 days (she took her last dose Tuesday morning) and breathing treatments with Zofenx (sp?). She hasn't gotten worse, but she is not showing any signs of getting better either. She has started to eat a little more, but we think that is because the Abutirol is out of her system. They also tested her for RSV and it came back negative. They mentioned Asthma, but I thought that was what the steroids were for?

She has lost a pound(ish). Her cheeks get bright red off and on throughout the day and her left one turns really hot to the touch (this could be teething).

All the girls got sick with a cold that turned into a sinus infection. We got rid of the infection, but then Keira and Sevi were still congested and Keira was having breathing problems. Sevi took Abutirol and it seems to have worked for her. So Keira is the only concern now.

On a side note... I have noticed a breathing issue with Keira since she was born. I have mentioned it to the Ped twice and both times I was told it was nothing. The second time she said it was because she was a big baby and was just working harder to move around.

So thoughts? Ideas? I am really ready for her to be better. I want my happy carefree baby back. I feel horrible for her. And I am tired of drugging her up. I am not a huge "medicine" giver as it is. So I don't like guessing what this is and giving her meds to see if it works. Like the Steroids. I want answers and I want it fixed. KWIM?

Especially with Christmas and New year's in just a few days.
