Keira's Breathing Update
Back from the Ped's. Ugh, we are no closer to an answer. She is still weezing and having breathing issues as confirmed by her Ped. No othher symptoms. No fever, nothing. She did say that her scratching at her ear is excema (sp?) which I believe this much more then the "her ears are dirty" reason last time. So we have to put some hydrocortizone on them.
She sent us off to get an x-ray today. Keira did so well. I was in awe since it was even nap time. They said the x-ray was normal, but I am waiting to hear from my Ped to confirm. So that is good and bad. Good because she does not have pneumonia but bad because we still don't know what is wrong.
She is getting a little more concerned now since nothing is making it better and she is also taking my concerns of her "excursion" breathing issues more serious now with this other stuff.
So she said if the x-ray was normal, our next step is to go to an ENT and they will probably need to put a camera or tube of some sort down her throat. I was trying to pay attention to what she was saying but I had all the girls with me. Grrrr. So anyway, I have a call into her right now to see where we go from here and if I am suppose to continue the Xopenex breathing treatments.
I did ask about allergies and she doesn't think that is it. I don't know. I have it in my mind and will be paying more attention to when she has her episodes and what she eats.
She does think asthma is a very likely answer but it is hard to test for it on babies.
