The Joys Of Being A Woman
Back in December, Steve and I decided to hold off on the big "V" for him and I would try to get an IUD. Without going into too much detail, we figured the IUD could help with other issues I was having AND take care of the birth control factor. So Steve would have 5 more years till the snip snip.
So I went in, got my IUD and went about my business. it went in real easy and didn't hurt much at all. great. This was going to be perfect for us.
WRONG!!! One week after I got it it fell out. I mean, it came right out all on it's own. Nice, huh? Only 3% of all IUD's that get placed fall out on their own. I knew I was special, but this was just silly.
So Steve and I talked. Do we take that as a sign? Do we chalk it up to a fluke? What next?
So after many discussions with Steve and my Midwife and other Moms, we decided it was a Fluke and we would give it one more try.
So today I went in and got a new IUD. A different Midwife did it today and she has always had better luck with my uterus. LOL It did not go in easily AT ALL and was rather painful. So maybe, just maybe, it is in for good now. Let's hope.
If it does fall out again, I will most certainly take that as a sign. Ha ha!
Hope it sticks this time! lol
