Some good news and lots of questions. He was able to breath on his own for awhile, but they ended up putting him back on the ventilator. He is having problems swallow as was expected, however, it does not appear to be as bad as they were planning for. They will do some x-rays and ultrasounds to see if there is a blockage or if the problem is related to his recessed chin.
He has a concave chest. They will also be doing x-rays and ultrasounds to see if that is causing any problems. They will also look at his heart, lungs, kidneys, etc. As the chromosomal issue usually affects those organs. So there is still lots of questions as to the extent of his physical issues, but hopefully they will have answers soon.
As for his mental issues, they will not have any idea as to the extent of them until he starts reaching milestones...or not reaching them. He could have mild mental issues to major mental issues. So please keep him in your prayers to be on the low end of that sliding scale.
