Chore Charts
Thanks to some wonderful ladies on my Local Moms Board, I made these pretty spiffy Chore Charts for the kids. I still need to add a few tags, but it turned out pretty well if I do say so myself. We will start them when the girls get back from the in-laws this weekend.

Here is what we ended up with. Purple is Julia's and Red is Sevina's. I even bought Pink for Keira for when she is older...IF these work.
The Top:
This is the Attitude section. I swear my 4.5 year old was switched with a teen over night this week. So they have 3 "coins". You know, three strikes and you're out. When they do something inappropriate they have to go to the chart and move a coin over to the sad side. At the end of the day, if all three coins have been removed, they will lose a privilege for the next day. Something like taking away TV for the day, Webkinz for the day, etc.
The Right side (if you are looking at it):
This is the morning routine side. The girls need to finish every "chore" on this side before they can sit and watch TV (assuming there is time left before we have to leave). On ours is breakfast, brush your teeth, get dressed, brush your hair and put your shoes on. I have an empty one up right now debating if I need to add pack your backpack or something. When they finish a "chore" they move their coin over to the Done column in the middle.
The Left side (while you are looking at it):
This is the official chore side. This is for "extra" chores around the house. Not the everyday ones they already need to do like cleaning the playroom, cleaning their bedrooms, etc. Here we have things like emptying their shoe box (downstairs) and putting the shoes away (upstairs), feeding the cats, feeding the fish, clear their plates, etc. I am still working on these. And on the backside of each chore is a monetary value. I will tally it up daily then add it up for the week and pay them each week.
I am hoping the chores and money will teach them that it is ok to clean up and do things that aren't always required of them. And also I am hoping it teaches them about money and that things cost more. So hopefully they will be more appreciative of the gifts they get.
I am not crafty, but I think these turned out pretty cute. I did have a lot of help from Nicole and her crafty brain.
