Well That Was A Bust

I had only one major thing to attempt today. Otherwise I am to sit here with my foot up and do nothing. Ha, I couldn't even do that one thing without issue.

I tried to take a shower. I won't go into all the details for obvious reasons, but I could not take a bath so it had to be a shower. Steven has been such a doll. Trying to help me anyway he can. He put a camping chair in the shower for me to sit on and got me a bag to put over my cast since it can't get wet. All I had to do was tie something over it to keep it closed. So I turn on the water to get the chair wet and to warm up the water. I put the bag on and use a ribbon to tie it closed. I also grab the ends of the bag and tie them tight for double protection.

I hop my way over to the shower and sit down only to have all the water that had pooled up in the chair go flowing over like a waterfall onto the bathroom floor. Then I try to close the door but my legs are in the way. I turn the chair while still hopping around trying not to slip but the chair is too wide and the door won't close. So I just fold the chair up and stick it in the corner. I balance as carefully as i can on one foot while cleaning up. The chair keeps slipping open so i finally toss it out into the tub near by. Water goes everywhere. I quickly finish up and carefully hop out as not to slip on all the water.

Caboom. Down I go. Ugh. So while I am down I might as well take the bag off. My boot and ankle portion of the cast are soaked.

It was just a huge mess and nothing worked the way we had hoped. DH was on a conference call during all of this so I could call him for help. He is taking off a few days to help out at home, so he needs some time here and there to get his stuff done. And he was such a help trying to come up with some solutions to make it easier on me. He is such a good man.

So here I am, exhausted, in pain, wet cast and a broken spirit. is it time for my next round of meds, I think I am coming off my high. LOL
