It Finally Happened
Our little daredevli finally busted her butt so bad she ended up in the ER. It took almost three years suprisingly. I would have sworn it would have been sooner.

Julia went to the ER at 7 months while on a trip in CA for the croup with a 104.7 fever. At 18 months when she tripped and fell hitting her head on the chair rail framing on the wall giving herself a concussion. And then again at just over two years. 2 weeks before Sevi was born. She had a horrible virus and became dehydrated.
Keira went to the ER at 6 weeks with a high fever and ended up staying for a week.
But Sevina. Little Miss Daredevil. The child who climbs everything, gets into everything, feels no pain, finally got her first ER trip. UGH.
Last night she was in the bathroom with Daddy getting ready for bed. She was on the toilet when she slipped and fell. She started crying and Steve picked her up. She kept crying so he brought her down to me. Soon as she was in my arms she calmed down and was fine. We cuddled and hugged and then I turned her around to look at the front of her head and asked her where it hurt. She pointed to the back of her head. Right as she was doing that she saw my arm and said "Blood". Huh? Yep. There was blood on my arm. I turn her around and there was blood all along the collar of her shirt and in her hair. I tried to see where it was coming from but there was too much blood and hair. So we put her in the tub to rinse it out and find the wound. Took us awhile but we finally found it.
It didn't look too bad. We weren't sure what to do. She was behaving fine. But there was just something that didn't look right. We couldn't get a good look as she would not hold still and there was hair everywhere and the blood kept coming. So I decided I needed to take her. Glad I did.
On the way there she kept saying she could hear something. Asked me what it was. I didn't hear anything. This ended up lasting 2 hours. She was "hearing" something. Turned out to be ringing in her ears/head basically. She has a mild concussion. Poor baby.
She ended up with 4 staples as well. YUCK! Holding my child down while they stapled her head is something I don't ever want to go through again.
She is fine. Being cooped up in a hospital room was worse then the actual injury to her. And this morning she has been running around showing me how fast she can go and even doing somersaults and cartwheels. She amazes me, that child. No pain. Just the thought of those things in her head makes me want to vomit and she could care less. Gotta love her.
So, after all the baby proofing, hand holding, watching her like a hawk to keep her safe....she falls of the toilet. Go figure.
Ok, you know me. I photograph everything.
So here is my disclaimer.
If staples in scalps grosses you out...
Do not look any further.

Poor baby!! So sorry about that! Boooo. I hope that she stays adventurous...just a little more careful
