I am in love

This morning I was startled by a phone call at 7:30 AM. I figured it had to be Steve with an urgent question or something. Nope. It was our new Pediatrician.

We had the same Ped. for 5 years. We moved out of the city 1.5 years ago. I had been commuting to the Ped. for the past year but I finally decided it was time to find a good one up here closer to home. A friend of mine from the girls' pre-school recommended her Doc and neighbor. Now this is not an actual Pediatrician. She is a Family Doctor but has done several rotations in the Pediatric field. And I figured it would be nice to have our entire family going to the same doctor from now on.

So back to this morning. This new Doc only takes one new patient a year. But her Assistant/NP takes a new patient a week. So we have gotten most of us in by seeing the NP. She is wonderful and so nice. Well on Monday when we were getting Sevi's staples out and having the problems, the Doc came in to help. This was my first time to meet her. Not the best time. It was really just a blur but she was very sympathetic and caring. Then I got to meet her again yesterday when she came in to read the X-Rays to us and give us Keira's diagnosis. Again, not the way I would like to get to know her but she was wonderful.

Well she called me this morning to check on how Keira was doing. How wonderful was that. She called from her home. How many doctors call to check on their patients? And if that wasn't amazing enough, the NP called a few hours later from home as well (she isn't working today) to check in on Keira. I have heard nothing but great things about this practice and this just solidified it for me.

Plus I love that they have their own X-ray lab and other Labs right there in the building.

She did do a blood draw on me yesterday. Turns out my Cholesterol is slightly elevated. Blech. Because of my Mother's history this is something we have to keep an eye on. So this is just another incentive to work on my current weight issues.

Busy busy day tomorrow.

Tonight Steve is picking up our Niece to spend the night.

Then tomorrow AM Julia, her cousin and two of her closest girl friends are all going to Club Libby Lu for Julia's 5th Birthday Celebration. Sevi will be going as well but Keira will be staying home. LOL Julia is SO excited.

Then lunch at our fav place for THE best cheese fries in Town, Snuffers.

And last but not least, a small gathering of close friends and family for a finale celebration.

Julia is so excited she can't even think straight. She will do anything I ask her right now. LOL Sp I have kept her busy cleaning.

I have to admit, I am a little excited as well. I love celebrating Birthdays. her actuall birthday is not until Wednesday which I will spoil her rotten on.

That is so awesome about your doctor! I've only had my Dentist in Wylie do that (it makes it well worth the drive!).

I hope Julia had a wonderful day! I thought of her earlier today wondering how it was all going. I hope the girls loved their hand-made invites! You did a great job on them.
