5 Year Check-up
Juls had her 5 year check up today. Poor thing. She was so brave and did great during the shot. But she was not prepared for the blood draw. Heck, I wasn't prepared. They have always done it by her finger but I guess she is old enough/big enough to have it done from her arm. She did not like that. And she has been walking around the house like her arm is broken. And taking the band aide off was SO dramatic. It didn't matter that she just took the one off her leg without it hurting. She just knew the one on her arm would hurt. So after almost an hour of drama I was done. Steve called and I told him what was going on. He suggested that he talk to her and while she was distracted I get it off. That is exactly what we did and it worked, until I started laughing. Then she didn't know wether to laugh with me or cry because she was mad I did it. I couldn't help but bust up. It didn't hurt her, it was off and she was so confused.
Anyway, back to the appointment. She is 44 pounds and 43 1/2 in tall. Just perfect. The doc was asking her all kinds of questions and then asked things like, "Do you ride a bike?", "Do you wear a helmet?", "Do you sit in a carseat?" etc. Luckily Julia answered yes to them all. LOL Thankfully she is the most honest person I know. She gets me in trouble with Steve all the time when she tattles on me and my shopping sprees. Haha.
So all in all we have a perfect 5 year old daughter. But I knew that. We are just waiting on the blood test results.
